The following is a list of symptoms or warning signs which may arise if a person has suffered a traumatic brain injury.  This list is not to be considered as exhaustive and if there is a concern that someone has suffered a traumatic brain injury then a medical provider should be consulted immediately.  Furthermore, even if some of the some or a lot of the following symptoms are observed, that does not necessarily mean that someone has suffered a traumatic brain injury but it would place a person on notice that they should immediately consult a medical provider to rule it out.  These warning signs may occur at and/or after the time the person suffers an incident.

  • Dizziness
  • Vertigo
  • Poor balance
  • Headaches
  • Fatigue
  • Visual disturbances
  • Depression
  • Moodiness
  • Anxiety
  • Sleeping problems
  • Hearing problems
  • Problems with attention or concentration
  • Altered tastes and smell
  • Increased irritability

  • INCREASED SENSITIVITY TO:

  • Light
  • Noise
  • Touch
  • Movement
  • Heights
  • Crowds

Once again, the above list is not necessarily all of the warning signs a person may exhibit if they have suffered a traumatic brain injury, however, if a person shows some of the above symptoms you should see a medical provider to examine and determine what is causing these symptoms.
